Illustrated bookplates produced for private libraries of South Carolina residents and organizations. Collection filed in 3 binder volumes, chiefly assembled by Alexander Salley, Jr., many of which include biographical sketches on various men, women, and families such as James Lewis Petigru, the Middleton family, and organizations such as the Charleston Orphan House and the Pineville Library Society. Bookplates include images of birds, trees, people, family homes, coats of arms and heraldry, and other subjects.
